Medicare Suppliments
Medicare supplement insurance plans are required to cover all of the parts of Medicare A & B and are a separate policy provided by insurance companies usually with a premium.
Most plans even give you extra coverage.
The most sought after supplement plan is Plan G, because your out of pocket expense is low per year .
These plans also require the purchase of a prescription drug plan.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage Plans are plans that either have a zero premium or a very low premium.
These plans take the place of Medicare parts A & B and Can either have Part D or not.
The Advantage plans work very similar to a regular health plan.

Medicare Advantage Plans usually have co-pays, Deductibles and out of pocket maxes.
These plans have to cover the Medicare Parts A & B's core coverage and may have extra coverage.
